For the first time we are offering our Back to School Portrait Special at another time than our typical September time.  These sessions make great school portrait alternatives.  Bring your child in for a complimentary 5 minute session and order online from our volume price list.  

Sessions will be done in the studio in front of a traditional background.

Only one family at a time will be scheduled to be in the studio.  Masks are required in the studio until the child is ready to sit for their portrait.

Our antique sleigh set will be outside tucked behind the studio in front of some evergreen trees.

We do not anticipate snow on the ground for these, but that would make for a happy surprise.  In the case of rain, the sleigh will not be available.

Our indoor set features vintage trunks, toys and a green velvet chair.

From these sessions we can create beautiful custom designed holiday cards for you to send to friends and family.

Halloween Open House

Weather depending, we will be planning this event for outside at the studio. We ask that all attendees wear masks to the event and maintain a social distance. Masks may be removed for the picture.

Packages start at $29 and a la carte options available as well.

Sessions are available for students in Preschool thru 11th grade.

Portraits will be taken outside.  In the case of rain, they will be taken in the studio.

Covid Protocols

Be aware that these sessions are quick and often scheduled back to back.  You can choose to stay in your vehicle until your scheduled session time.  If you choose to wait in the parking lot, please be aware that it is an active parking lot and keep children close by. 

You are welcome to come into the studio but please wear a mask and maintain an appropriate distance from any other parties that may also be there.  Hand sanitizer will be available.  

Please be responsible and if anyone in your household has been ill with symptoms of Covid we ask that you cancel your appointment.

These mermaid and pirate portraits will bring you and your kids to Neverland!

Bring your children in for a private 30 minute session to play dress up with Allison and she will digitally design a fine art illustration to be displayed in your home.

Available for the remainder of the month of August.

Celebrate your graduate by scheduling a quick cap and gown portrait at the studio. We will photograph your student alone and with family members of the same household. Prints will be available for purchase online at our special volume prices. (Think school pictures) Half of the $30 session fee will be donated to the NH Food Bank. Rebecca Mayes of RebLetters is a lettering artist and illustrator based in central Massachusetts. She is a preacher’s wife and full-time mother to two amazing girls. Some of her favorite things in the world are, in no particular order: New England, plants, books, cheese, Jurassic Park movies, and hiking.

 

Alabama Chanin Workshop

In this workshop you will learn the physics of hand sewing and the Alabama Chanin techniques of Natalie Chanin. We will be making beautiful cozy ponchos that would be a perfect gift, but let's face it, we will want to keep them for ourselves. We will be aiming to finish a single design element on our pieces, but you will learn the skills, so if you want to continue to embellish at home, you will be able to.

All materials will be provided.
This workshop is for beginners and experienced sewers alike.

This workshop will be taught by local New Boston creative, Tina Mappus. She is an avid sewer, knitter, and wife and mom to her husband and two boys.
 

 

Basics of Block Printing with Monica Rico of Wood Thrush Farm

In this workshop, Monica will discuss basic linoleum block carving techniques, tools, materials, and printing methods. Each participant will design and draw their own block, spend time carving it by hand with guidance from the instructor, ink and print, and leave with finished prints and cards to take home. You’ll leave with your finished block as well, so you’ll be able to print from it in the future! Monica will provide information on where to purchase block printing supplies, should you wish to continue practicing after the class. Cost of materials is included in course registration.

Monica Rico is a printmaker, barefoot farmer, and mother of boys at Wood Thrush Farm in Henniker, NH. She makes linocut relief prints on note cards, journals, various sized matted prints, clothing, and textiles. Her work is drawn directly onto linoleum blocks, carved by hand, and individually inked and hand-printed. Each print is an original work and each is slightly different from the next.
